FAMILY

  • Our current projects to date are funding clan & family information booths at Celtic festivals and Highland games. This is run completely on a volunteer basis, from top to bottom.
  • Clan funds pay for the website and tent spaces and printing.
  • We hope to get enough paying and supporting members to be able to offer scholarships to students of history, music, dance and cultural studies.

FRATERNITY

  • Membership fees support the information booths, genealogy and future scholarships.
  • Clan Bailey International is also a way to get like minded family members and supporters together a few times a year.
  • In general, our philosophy is that paying money to belong to a family you were born to is silly at best. However, If the above statements and goals are of interest to you and you would like to help us bring these dreams to fruition, we welcome your support!

GENEALOGY

  • We are in the beginning stages of collecting Bailey family tree information. The goal is to be a large web based source for all members of Baileys to store their genealogy, so future generations will have less work to do.

HISTORY

  • Clan Bailey International also hosts Bailey's Academy of Celtic Martial Arts (current emphasis - Highland Regimental Broadsword) at our clan tents. This is a way to get information on historic fencing and Highland martial history out to the general public.
  • While the Bailey's Academy of Celtic Martial Arts is currently our largest living history project, we hope to eventually get other projects going as well.

PAGEANTRY

  • The Bailey flag is in the process of being hand made, as well as an embroidered Grafaldon (a shield like flag). Chief of Clan Douglas Bailey would like to offer his profound thanks to those who are making these .

TRADITION

  • The House of Bailey tartan has been milled as well. Many thanks to Marton Mills. We will post the tartan number as soon as it gets to us by mail. In the meantime, those who want to purchase the 13 oz poly-viscose tartan can buy it directly from Chief of Clan Douglas Bailey (lordbailey@clanbaileyintl.com) at $30.00 per yard, not including shipping & handling.
